Aaron Rowden for U.S. House
Aaron is a policy analyst at a Bay Area public health non-profit. He has been involved in politics for many years. He has recently served as a member and vice-chair of the Richmond Recreation and Parks Commission (2021-2024), and currently serves a member of the West Contra Costa County Democratic Club Issues Committee.
Originally from Maine, Aaron and his wife fell in love with the vibrant culture of the Bay Area and the opportunity to participate in a varied mix of cultural experiences unique to this region. Coupled with the natural beauty of the East Bay Regional Parks, and the eclectic mix of commerce and community, it did not take long for Aaron to feel he had found a home in East Bay.
Aaron has previously held elected office in Maine, serving as the chairman of the Fairfield, Maine town council, and was the Democratic nominee for the Maine legislature in 2016 and 2018.
With a Juris Doctor from Georgetown Law, an M.A. in psychology from Pepperdine University, and a B.A. in philosophy from Holy Cross, Aaron has a varied educational background and a wide variety of academic and personal interests that he brings to his political work.
When not engaged in politics and policy, Aaron enjoys hiking in the Bay Area parks, practicing judo, running, biking and swimming. He is also an avid reader and writer and enjoys cooking meals at home and spending time with his wife and their three children.
